Second and third year residents are expected to attend the annual American Academy of Dermatology meeting in the winter. They each receive a stipend to apply toward expenses. Second and third year residents are required to make a formal presentation at this meeting. A presentation at another national professional society meeting may be substituted with the permission of the Chairman. Presentations at regional and national meetings are encouraged and additional financial support will be at the discretion of the Chairman.

Computers are available at the Regenstrief Dermatology Clinic for e-mail, Medline literature searches and clinical pharmacology information. Each house staff officer receives an e-mail address from the University.
