Resident Application Process

Our program will be participating  in the ERAS program (Electronic Residency Application Service) as administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges. This service uses the Internet to transmit residency applications, letters of recommendation, Dean's Letters, transcripts, and other supporting credentials.

You may apply to our program using any computer with access to the World Wide Web.  Please contact your student affairs office for assistance. They will provide you with manuals and instructions for accessing the Applicant Webstation. You may also access the ERAS Web site at to view frequently asked questions.

We will have a total of four postions. Two PGY-1 positions (categorical) and two PGY-2 position (advanced) to fill for the 2017 Match.

Our interview dates will be announced soon for the 2017 Match.

Two of our categorical positions are 4-year program with the PGY-1 year being completed in conjunction with the Department of Medicine, Indiana University School of Medicine. Because the preliminary year is linked to the 3 years of dermatology residency, there is not a separate application for the preliminary year if you apply for these positions. These positions begin July 1, 2017

Two of our advanced position are not linked to a preliminary PGY-1 year at IU. If you are applying for these positions, you must secure your own transitional or PGY-1 year. The PGY-2 position will begin on July 1, 2018.

You ay be considered for both the categorical and advanced positions by ranking them both.

While we do not have an official deadline, we do like to conduct interviews in December and January. It would be best to have all of your information, including the Dean's letter, transmitted to us by no later than October 6th.
